Authentication within ODBC Connections

Follow

With ODBC connection it will sometimes be necessary to provide authentication to the data source before information can be loaded into the software. This is dependent on the source system and the authentication details will need to be provided by the system administrator.

Once the authentication details have been applied it is possible to verify their success by checking the info panel which will only display the list of tables in the database once the connection has been correctly authenticated. Once credentials have been supplied, they are stored with the connection and will be submitted to the database each time a query is executed.
